When I was originally signed up for backpacking I didn't realize what I was signing up for... I really had no idea... The outcome was beautiful views, great leg toning and even stronger friendships. With friends I really consider everyone that was in my backpacking group, family. The first day when we arrived I was the weak link; but as the day went on, It became less difficult. On the second day we woke up at 4:30 a.m. to watch the sunrise. It was a very nice view that we saw throughout the hiking that day. On the third day, we woke up at 6:30 and during that day we had lunch at a very nice lake. We even saw and spent time watching turtles play. On the fourth day we got up early to reach the parking lot. While I was on the trip I feel that we learn leadership skills and many other personal skills in leading the group along the trails and taking turns being in charge of logistics and other responsibilities for eachother. Backpacking was an amazing experience and I wouldn't change it for all the bagels in the world.
